With the World Cup kicking off in less than three years, this country is preparing to make a huge splash on the international stage. Quang Hai
During the last two years, Vietnam cá độ bóng đá has enjoyed a golden run. They have qualified for the finals for the first time in history. They have also reached the semi-finals of the ASIAD tournament. They are currently one of only 12 teams in the world still in the running for the World Cup.
However, one player has risen above the rest: Quang Hai. This Vietnamese midfielder has had an excellent year. He played a huge role in helping Vietnam qualify for the finals. He also helped the national team win the AFF Suzuki Cup.
In the AFC U-23 Championship in China in January, Quang Hai was the star of the show. He scored five goals and won a goal of the tournament award.

Despite losing seven matches in a row, Vietnam are still bottom of the group. Vietnam are still hard to beat in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Do Hung Dung is the captain of Vietnam’s national U22 team. He is also the Vietnamese Golden Ball winner for his achievements at club level. He is considered to be the “hand of the key box” at the VFF.
Hung Dung has been a part of the AFF Suzuki Cup winning team. He has also been with Vietnam national youth team since 2011. He was the captain of Vietnam’s U23 squad at the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines in 2019. He will captain Vietnam to the Hug Thinh Friendly Tournament in Vietnam.
Dung is a box to box midfielder. He is the Vietnamese player to beat in this year’s Golden Ball race. He is also the Vietnamese player to watch out for in the coming years.
Nguyen Tuan Anh
Despite the fact that Vietnamese football has a lot of talent, it is a shame that Nguyen Tuan Anh has not been able to perform as expected. However, the player still has the potential to do great things in the AFF Cup this year.
Tuan Anh is a central midfielder who started his career with the HAGL – Arsenal JMG Academy. He played in 26 league games in a season and was voted the team’s best player. He then went on to join Hoang Anh Gia Lai.
He is considered as one of the most talented midfielders in Vietnam’s national team. He also has represented Vietnam at U-19 and U-23 level. He is one of the most important players in the country’s defensive and offensive game. He was promoted to the Hoang Anh Gia Lai first team in 2015.
Vietnam is currently playing in Group B of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. They are tied with Saudi Arabia, China and Japan. They have not won a single game in this group. Their goal difference is the worst in the group.
The 2020 AFC U23 Championship
Despite finishing runner-up to Uzbekistan in the 2018 AFC U23 Championship in China, Vietnam did not qualify for the finals. The competition is a biennial continental football tournament involving men’s under-23 national teams from Asia. As hosts, Thailand automatically qualified for the tournament. The hosts are expected to perform well in the tournament, but may still clash with some of the region’s heavyweights in the first phase of the tournament.
